Joseph McWard, Esq.
Joseph McWard is an Associate Attorney for Stange Law Firm, PC. He can assist clients with their divorce and family law matters from the firm’s Springfield, Illinois office located in Sagamon County. He is currently licensed to practice in the State of Illinois.
Joseph graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. While there, he was placed on the College of Law’s Deans List.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm in Springfield, IL, Joseph worked for a firm in Columbia, MO as a Court Runner. He served subpoenas and assisted with document preparation and delivery. He then moved on to work in the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s office in Hillsboro, IL in the Traffic Division and then the Juvenile Delinquent Division. From there, he worked in the Christian County State’s Attorney’s Office in Taylorsville, IL. While there, he assisted with criminal prosecution including felonies, narcotics, and small thefts. He also aided the Juvenile Abuse and Neglect Division and scheduled and conducted Shelter Care hearings through cooperation with DCFS.
