Mary “Katie” Navratil is a compassionate Senior Associate Attorney in our Omaha, Nebraska office. She can assist clients throughout Douglas County, Nebraska, and nearby, with their family law needs.
Katie attended law school at the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska where she earned her Juris Doctor in May 2010. Before studying law, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs in May 2005. Katie is licensed to practice law and help individuals in Nebraska and Iowa.
Katie brings a broad legal background to her role with the Omaha, Nebraska divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, including experience in family law, juvenile advocacy, civil litigation, and real estate matters. She began her career handling oil and gas hearings, misdemeanor defense, and divorce and custody litigation. As a contract attorney, she represented misdemeanor clients and provided pro bono legal services. In juvenile court, Katie served as a Guardian ad Litem, representing state wards and advising the court on children’s best interests. Her practice expanded to include juvenile delinquency cases, adoptions, guardianships, and landlord-tenant disputes. Katie later focused on civil litigation and family law, handling cases involving dissolution, custody, and paternity while advocating for juveniles in court. Most recently, Katie focused on negotiating vehicle impound releases, reviewing potential conversion claims, and settling diminished value claims with insurance companies. Her diverse experience highlights strong advocacy, negotiation, and litigation skills across various legal issues.
