According to The Associated Press, Berry must also pay Aubry an $115,000 retroactive payment and $300,000 for Aubry’s legal fees. In addition, Berry will pay Nahla’s school tuition; the former couple will split their daughter’s health care.
Berry, 47, currently starring in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” met Aubry, 38, a French-Canadian model, on a Versace shoot in 2005. Although they never married, they were together from 2005-2010 and had a child, Nahla, in 2008.
The former couple had reached a shared custody agreement in 2012 when Berry agreed to pay Aubry child support. At that time, the court ruled that she could not move Nahla to France, where her then-fiancé Olivier Martinez, 48, had been living, unless Aubry moved there as well.
Martinez, who had a role on ABC’s “Revenge,” and Berry announced their engagement in 2012…were married in July 2013…and had a son, Maceo, on October 6, 2013. Berry previously wed baseball player David Justice in 1993 and later married and divorced singer Eric Benét.
The court order only affects child support payments. The former couple has 50-50 joint custody of their daughter. It seems co-parenting while living some distance apart is expensive especially when the mother out earns the dad. Reportedly Berry’s 2012 gross income came in at $4.7 million versus Aubry’s of $192,921.
