Watch Your Body Language
Body language is a major external indicator of confidence. Take note of how you hold yourself while sitting, standing, walking and talking. Less confident people tend to be fidgety and slumped. Make an effort to stand up straight and take up your space. When you stand, stand tall with your head up and feet firmly planted in place. When walking, keep your chest tall and walk with purpose. These changes in your body language will not only set off an appearance of confidence, but, over time, will also help alter your state of mind and internal confidence.
