So, challenge yourself to do one thing every day that is outside of your comfort zone. They don’t have to be big; it could be as simple as striking up a conversation with the person standing behind you in line, or something as big as skydiving. Whatever it is, take pride in each accomplishment. And then, when your date recommends an activity you’ve never done, you don’t have to find an excuse to cancel, but instead take it as another challenge to accomplish!
Work It Out
While physical appearance shouldn’t be the only factor in a relationship, it is a factor nonetheless. The more confident you are with your body image, the more confident you will be in your dating relationships. In addition to conditioning your body, working out can also condition your mind. The endorphins released through exercise can boost your mood causing a happier mental state and more confidence in your interactions. if you are already hitting the gym, try switching up your routine. Some gyms, like 24 Hour Fitness, offer a variety of group fitness classes like cycling, which are not only a fun way to mix up your workouts, but also a great way to meet people.
Be Yourself
One of the fastest ways to fail in a relationship is by trying to be someone you are not. Find a personal style that makes you happy and proud. Don’t get caught up in what others think and how they respond, but instead surround yourself with people who compliment who you are and who you want to be.
Watch Your Body Language
Body language is a major external indicator of confidence. Take note of how you hold yourself while sitting, standing, walking, and talking. Less confident people tend to be fidgety and slumped. Make an effort to stand up straight and take up your space. When you stand, stand tall with your head up and feet firmly planted in place. When walking, keep your chest tall and walk with purpose. These changes in your body language will not only set off an appearance of confidence but, over time, will also help alter your state of mind and internal confidence. Plus, when you walk into the room to meet a date, you will create a more confident and lasting first impression.
Know Your Affirmations

Whether you want to write your affirmations on the mirror to see while you get ready each morning or make a more permanent showing through a custom affirmation sign that can be proudly displayed anywhere in your home, is up to you.
