Aaron Bourne is a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Omaha, Nebraska office location. He can help represent clients throughout Douglas County, NE and the surrounding areas.
Aaron graduated from Creighton University School of Law in May 2013. While in law school, he was a member of the Public Interest Law Forum and the Thomas More Chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Aaron also took part in the Moot Court Competition in Fall 2011. Before studying law, Aaron earned both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he was also named to the Dean’s List and the Chancellor’s List for his academic prowess. Aaron is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Nebraska.
Before joining the Omaha, Nebraska family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, PC, Aaron most recently spent the last five years working as an Associate Attorney for a law firm in Omaha. In this role, he was tasked with electronic discovery on securities litigation and investigation cases, including cases with financial institution compliance and litigation, as well as cases with multi-district litigation. Before this, Aaron served as the County Attorney for the Box Butte County Attorney’s Office in Alliance, Nebraska and then moved on to serve as a Deputy County Attorney for the Washington County Attorney’s Office in Blair, Nebraska. In these roles, his duties included managing criminal cases from initial charging to resolution of the case and negotiating with defense attorneys regarding cases that may end in a plea deal. With the Washington County Attorney’s office, he was also tasked with handling all juvenile cases, including truancies, juveniles out of control (3B cases), and neglected and abused juveniles (3A cases), and was primarily responsible for all class IV felonies in District Court. In his role with the Box Butte County Attorney’s office, he worked to arrange mental health board hearings for individuals who represented an imminent danger to themselves or others and had been placed under Emergency Protective Custody.
