Senior Associate Attorney
Facing a divorce or any family law matter can be emotionally trying and difficult. Having representation on your side that understands this, and will be there to guide you through the process of your case, can make all of the difference and give you some peace of mind. Anna Jumpponen is a caring Senior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, PC and practices out of the Wichita, Kansas office location.
Anna earned her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, where she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. Before attending law school, she served as a paralegal and legal assistant at a firm in Manhattan, Kansas that focused in Family Law, Criminal Law, and personal injury cases. With this firm, she was involved in all phases of a case, from inception through litigation. This included preparing and presenting relevant documentation, reviewing and analyzing discovery documents, and preparing exhibits and proposals for settlement negotiations or trials. Anna went on to earn her Juris Doctor at Washburn School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. At Washburn, she served as the Senior Executive Editor for the Family Law Quarterly publication and coordinated the “Law in 50 States” research and case summaries. She was also President of the Women’s Legal Forum, where she worked closely with other board members and school organizations to arrange for several pro bono and networking opportunities for law students. During her time at Washburn, Anna also earned a Graduate Certificate of Mediation from Kansas State University. Anna is currently licensed to practice in the State of Kansas.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm, Anna gained several years of experience working for county attorney’s offices. She worked as an Assistant County Attorney for the Saline County Attorney’s office and completed hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases from intake to disposition. This included management and distribution of discovery, interviews and meetings with victims and witnesses regarding the case, negotiating with opposing counsel, and conducting legal research and preparing the briefs for contested hearings. From the Saline County Attorney’s Office, she moved on to serve as an Assistant County Attorney at the Harvey County Attorney’s Office. She managed a heavy case load of juvenile and adult misdemeanor and felony cases and was responsible for handling the cases from the initial review through the final disposition. Anna often made daily court appearances and worked closely with law enforcement regarding follow-up investigations, legal questions, and testimony preparation.
Anna, in her free time, enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their three fur babies. Together, her and her fiancé spend a lot of time gardening, working out, relaxing in their backyard, and taking their puppies on long walks.
