Working to Ensure an Accurate Result in DNA Paternity Testing
Where paternity is in dispute, a DNA lab test is usually ordered. The test involves retrieving a DNA sample from the child, the mother, and the alleged father. The samples are typically collected by swabbing the inside of each person’s mouth. These samples are then sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis.
We do everything in our power to ensure that the laboratory performing the tests follows the necessary protocols to maintain the integrity of the DNA samples. If there is any concern over the results or that the samples may have been contaminated at some point during the process, we will not hesitate to request new tests from a different lab.
